The “Water Dialogues for Results Bonn 2021” is an official contribution to preparations for the Mid-Term Review of the UN Water Action Decade 2018 to 2028, and together with the related High-Level Conference, aims to provide a platform for an open and inclusive cross-sectoral and multi-stakeholder dialogue on how to ensure the achievement of SDG 6+ (water and sanitation) while using the leveraging power of the UN Water Action Decade.
The Water Dialogues for Results culminate in a High-Level Conference on 1 July 2021, hosted by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) in Bonn. Ministerial representatives of UN Member States from the global North and South and representatives of international organisations and Major Groups will discuss needs and priorities in the water sector and showcase best practice examples of how policy can be translated into action. Moreover, the BMU will officially present the policy messages that resulted from regional and thematic events within the Water Dialogues.
