This Advisory Committee (AC) of experts supports the UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization-International Hydrological Programme (UNESCO-IHP) on its Theme 4 'Water and Human Settlements of the Future'. The 4th meeting of the AC, beyond the traditional review of ongoing IHP Theme 4 projects, will allow for reporting on the main regional trends and opportunities that could lead to the emergence of new fields of work or reinforce current activities. On 10 March, the meeting will provide opportunities to meet with historical and institutional partners of IHP in order to develop synergies. The AC meets once or twice a year and provides advice on agenda items, by contributing to projects within the framework of the IHP-VIII Strategic Plan, and by granting access to its wide network of water related contacts.
