The ‘Venice Solutions 2030’ event will address the theme, ‘Creating Citizenship: The SDGs as an Opportunity for All’.

Second in the annual ‘Venice City Solutions’ series, the event will discuss issues that are key to SDG implementation at local level, with a specific focus on the role of local governments as key implementers of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The event is co-organized by the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and L’Associazione italiana per il Consiglio dei Comuni e delle Regioni d’Europa, with financial support from the EU and partners.

The 2018 edition brought together more than 140 participants from 36 countries to discuss the need to finance the SDGs at local level.
