The UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will hold the 16th session of its General Conference under the theme 'Sustainable industrialization for shared prosperity'. The conference will focus on UNIDO's role in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and especially in achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9, “Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation”. Nobel Prize-winner Joseph Stiglitz will deliver the keynote speech. The conference will also include the Fourth UNIDO Forum on Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID), the second UNIDO Donor Meeting, and the launch of the Industrial Development Report 2016.
