UNGA High-level Thematic Debate: Human Rights

The President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), Mogens Lykketoft, will hold a high-level thematic debate on human rights. The event aims to discuss the UN's role in human rights related to gender equality, governance and the rule of law and institution building. The event also will emphasize the needs of individuals affected by conflicts and disasters, particularly refugees. This event is one of three high-level events that the President will convene during UNGA 70.
