The UN General Assembly (UNGA) will hold High-Level Event to mark the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). Mandated by UNGA Resolution 71/178, the event will provide an opportunity to UN Member States, Indigenous Peoples and relevant stakeholders to take stock of the achievements of the ten years of the Declaration's implementation, and assess the remaining challenges, as well as to consider the further follow-up, including the consideration of a third International Decade.
