In UN General Assembly (UNGA) Resolution 68/210, Member States decided to hold a series of four, one-day structured dialogues to consider possible arrangements for a facilitation mechanism to promote the development, transfer and dissemination of clean and environmentally sound technologies. The first two dialogues will be held back-to-back, on 29-30 April 2014, at UN Headquarters in New York, US. The themes for these two dialogues are 'Stock-taking of the debates on development, transfer and dissemination of clean and environmentally sound technologies,' and 'Assessing fragmentation, synergies, areas of duplication and opportunities for cooperation between existing mechanisms and processes, thus improving overall coherence and enhancing interlinkages,' respectively.
