UNGA-66 Interactive Dialogue on Harmony with Nature

Mandated by UN General Assembly (UNGA) resolution 66/204, this interactive dialogue aims to examine the scientific findings on the impacts of human activities on the functioning the Earth System. It will also explore how human activity has damaged the Earth System, especially by focusing on those areas where such damage has already affected the regenerative capacity of the planet. The dialogue is intended to promote an exchange of ideas and experiences from multiple perspectives, with particular attention to the contribution of science. It is expected to provide an accurate diagnosis of the negative impacts of human activity on the Earth System, and outline institutional responses to catalyze science for sustainable development.
