This forum is organized jointly by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). It aims to contribute to the success of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20) by promoting the role of ecosystem management in the development of a green economy in China and other developing countries. The event also will mark the launch of the International Ecosystem Management Partnership (IEMP), a joint initiative of UNEP and CAS.
