UNECE Water Convention Workshop on benefits of Transboundary Water Cooperation

This workshop, organized under the framework of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Convention for the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (Water Convention), will convene under the theme 'Counting Our Gains: Sharing Experiences on Identifying, Assessing and Communicating the Benefits of Transboundary Water Cooperation'. The meeting will provide an opportunity to: discuss with a variety of stakeholders the benefits of cooperation and how assessment of benefits supports cooperation processes; share experiences, good practices, challenges faced and lessons learned on the identification, assessment, and communication of the wide range of transboundary water cooperation benefits; and support further development of a draft Policy Guidance Note on identifying, assessing and communicating the benefits of transboundary water cooperation.
