The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Belarus have organized this week-long meeting as part of the project “River basin management and climate change adaptation in the Neman River Basin”. Meeting participants, including representatives of government ministries, water agencies, UNECE, UNDP, and other stakeholders, will discuss the findings of the first joint assessment of water resources and climate change impacts in the Neman Basin, released earlier in October. The meeting includes field trips to analytical control laboratories, hydropower plants, monitoring stations, quarries, and other water facilities in Belarus and Lithuania.
