UNDP and DESA E-Discussion on Implementing the 2030 Agenda: Moving from Commitments to Results

Organized and coordinated by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP), this e-discussion is expected to provide suggestions and recommendations on how to best address implementation challenges of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a special focus on the national level. It will focus on the theme of the 2016 session of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on 'Implementing the 2030 Agenda: moving from commitments to results,' and it will consider the scope and implications of the 2030 Agenda, national implementation and follow-up and review. The e-discussion is open to stakeholder groups, experts, practitioners and policy-makers. Contributions made by participants will be included in a summary of the e-discussion posted on the ECOSOC website, and will be channelled through the report of the UN Secretary-General on the ECOSOC theme in support of deliberations during the Council's high-level segment in July.
