This workshop is organized by the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Development and Co-operation (OECD), the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). It aims to share information on, and compare frameworks for, corporate reporting on climate-change related information and climate-change disclosure. The event will focus on: understanding policies, initiatives and practices leading to demand for and supply of climate-change related information; problems related to the lack of consistency among climate-change disclosure systems and assessing benefits of greater consistency; and stimulating further discussions on enhancing consistency. The event will provide inputs to a joint UNCTAD, OECD, CDSB, GRI report to be launched prior to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20).
