The inaugural session of the UN Scientific Advisory Board will convene in Berlin, Germany. Launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in September 2013, the initiative has been taken forward under the leadership of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which hosts the Secretariat of the Board. The meeting is organized in cooperation with the German Foreign Ministry and the German National Commission for UNESCO.
