UN 2.0 Week

UN 2.0 Week will feature virtual panel discussions and keynote speakers from across the UN and partners around the world. The Week aims to share a vision of a modernized UN system for greater results and SDG impact through the ‘Quintet of Change’ – data, digital transformation, innovation, strategic foresight, behavioral science, and culture.

UN 2.0 is the UN Secretary-General’s vision of a rejuvenated UN for greater impact. The vision aims to explore how to better leverage new expertise in data, digital innovation, behavioral science, and strategic foresight across UN programmes while emphasizing a dynamic, diverse, and curious organizational culture. UN 2.0 is a whole-of-UN approach that aims to provide strategic guidance and recommendations for the entire UN system.

The UN Secretariat will convene the event. Speakers will come from more than 30 UN agencies, including the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the UN Youth Office, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), UN Women, and the World Bank.

The Week aims to inspire participants and share best practices and case studies on making an impact and working towards transformational change. The UN Secretary-General will open the event by sharing how the UN 2.0 Vision will help the world achieve the SDGs.
