The high-level special event, ‘Time to Act Together: Coordinating Policy Responses to the Global Food Crisis,’ aims to foster coordinated global policy responses to the current food crisis, supported by and in support of the UN Secretary General’s Global Crisis Response Group on Food, Energy, and Finance.

Jointly convened by the President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) and the Chairperson of the Committee on World Food Security of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), this event will provide participants an opportunity to share their initiatives, deliberate on strategies and policy options, and identify emerging areas of convergence in response to the food crisis.
