The Fifth Tokyo International Conference for African Development (TICAD V) is being convened under the theme “Hand in Hand for a More Dynamic Africa”. Discussions are expected to be focused around four main topics: economic growth; achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); consolidation of peace/ good governance; and climate change. TICAD V is organized by Government of Japan, the UN Office of the Special Advisor to Africa, the World Bank, and the African Union (AU).
