Third Meeting of the Sustainable Ocean Initiative Global Dialogue with Regional Seas Organizations and Regional Fishery Bodies

Convened by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the Third Meeting of the Sustainable Ocean Initiative (SOI) Global Dialogue with Regional Seas Organizations and Regional Fishery Bodies will take place in October 2022.

The SOI provides a global platform to build partnerships and enhance capacity to conserve and sustainably use marine and coastal biodiversity. The meeting will consider:

  • a progress report of activities undertaken since the second meeting;
  • the roles of, and opportunities for, regional organizations and regional collaboration in the development and implementation of the post-2020 global biodiversity framework;
  • opportunities for concrete implementation and follow-up from the SOI Global Dialogue; and
  • the impact of the Global Dialogue.
