This side event is being organized by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and will be held during the the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD, or Rio+20). It will focus on progress and challenges in the transformation to a low-carbon economy, particularly from the perspective of the manufacturing sector.
