This conference is being organized by the Government of France and the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The Conference is expected to address a range of tourism-related issues for island destinations, from the competitiveness and sustainability perspectives, to identifying specific challenges and vulnerabilities and examples of relevant actions. The conclusions from the Conference shall serve as guidance to National Tourism Authorities and as an input to the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS), taking place in September 2014, in Apia, Samoa.
