This subregional workshop on the management of mercury containing lamps is organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Local Affairs Tunisia and the Tunis International Center for Environmental Technologies (CITET).

Experts from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan Morocco, and Tunisia, the private sector and civil society will exchange expertise and experiences on the environmental sound management of mercury containing lamps and to enhance regional cooperation and coordination among the invited countries in this area, in order to assist in the implementation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury.
