The sixth session of the Open-ended Working Group (OEWG-6) will consider, inter alia: Basel Convention regional and coordinating centers; the establishment of a regional center for South Asia in the South Asia Cooperative Environment Programme; technical guidelines on environmentally sound management of used tires; persistent organic pollutants; classification and hazard characterization of wastes; harmonization and coordination; and dismantling of ships.
