This session is part of the series of intergovernmental consultations toward a global compact on migration. The session is titled, 'Irregular migration and regular pathways, including decent work, labour mobility, recognition of skills and qualifications and other relevant measures.' The session is open to UN Member States and observer States, comprises three consecutive expert panels, moderated by Member State representatives.

The panels will discuss: irregular migration and regular pathways; decent work and labor mobility; and recognition of skills and qualifications and relevant measures. A fourth and final panel will summarize the conclusions.

Stakeholders are invited to an informal dialogue on 13 October 2017 from 9:00 am to 9:50 am, in accordance with resolution 71/280, paragraph 8. All Member and Observer States are also welcome to attend the stakeholder dialogue.
