The Pacific Urban Forum is organised on the theme 'Towards a New Pacific Urban Agenda: Harnessing Opportunities in a Post-2015 Environment'. The meeting is being organized in preparation for the next United Nations Conference on housing and sustainable urban development, Habitat III, which will take place in 2016 in Quito, Ecuador. The meeting will discuss priority areas to be addressed in the post-2015 development agenda, and will provide recommendations to the High-level Regional Preparatory Meeting for Habitat III for Asia Pacific that will take place subsequently in Indonesia in May 2015.
