The Government of New Zealand and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) are organising this event ahead of the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS). The Forum will highlight the benefits of renewable energy for SIDS, provide an opportunity for mutual learning about relevant policies and practices, and promote partnerships for the deployment of renewable energy in SIDS. The Forum is anticipated to highlight the importance of measurable targets in energy partnerships, and to announce the formation of new partnerships.
