The Second Workshop of the Latin American Regional Platform on Low Emission Strategies (LEDS LAC) of the Global Alliance on Development Strategies Low in Emissions (LEDS Global Partnership) will provide a forum for officials from Latin American governments and international organizations and technical experts and other stakeholders in the region to share experiences and best practices, participate in training, establish collaborative links and work, and discuss innovative ways to achieve low-carbon development that is also resilient to the impacts of climate change. The workshop will occur against the backdrop of InterClima, an annual multi-stakeholder forum hosted by Peru's Environment Ministry (MINAM) that seeks to provide Peruvian stakeholders with training, discussion, information exchange and opportunities to forge partnerships regarding climate change, low-carbon development and climate resilience.
