The Issue-based Coalition on Health is led by the WHO Regional Office for Europe. It aims to act as a pan-European enabling mechanism on implementing the SDGs' health-related targets. The Coalition was established at the meeting of the UN Development Group (UNDG) Regional Team for Europe and Central Asia in May 2016 as a useful mean of cross-sectoral cooperation on health.

Following the first meeting of the Coalition in November 2016, it is expected to meet again in March 2018.
