The Second Berlin Forum on Chemicals and Sustainability will focus on the theme, ‘Just Transition Towards a Pollution-free Planet’.

The event will bring together governments, the private sector, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academics, and civil society from across agriculture, economic, environment, health, and labor sectors. The event will feature four high-level dialogues focused on food security, human health and the environment, labor and occupational health, and innovation for a just transition.

The German Federal Ministry for the Nature, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety, and Consumer Protection (BMU) is organizing the event.

The First Berlin Forum on Chemicals and Sustainability highlighted the need for a science-policy interface (SPI) on chemicals and wastes. The Earth Negotiations Bulletin summary of the meeting is here.
