Second African Forestry and Wildlife Week

The Second African Forestry and Wildlife Week (AFWW) will convene alongside the 18th Session of the African Forestry and Wildlife Commission and will consider “The Importance of Governance and Benefit Sharing in the Sustainable Management of African Forests, Trees and Wildlife”. The Second AFWW is being held to reflect on the International Year of Forests 2011 (IYF 2011) and to underscore the importance of forests and wildlife in improving livelihoods and social and economic development.
