SDG Business Forum

The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Business Forum will coincide with the high-level ministerial segment of the 2016 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The SDG Business Forum is being held in support of the business case for sustainable development, which is based on the understanding that business and social values are inextricably linked and business efforts to improve lives and strengthen local communities can also have long-term financial benefits. The Forum will convene leaders from business and government, as well as heads of UN agencies, international organizations and civil society groups to discuss the role of business in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Forum will report on achievements and activities undertaken by business during this first year of SDG implementation and explore the capacity of business to catalyze sustainable growth and development, including through innovative approaches to financing and new, transformational partnerships. The Forum is being co-hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), the UN Global Compact and the Global Business Alliance for 2030.
