SDG 16 Conference 2023

The SDG 16 Conference is taking place under the theme, ‘SDG 16 as a Compass for Navigating Intersecting Crises’. The Conference will build on the outcomes of the 2019, 2021, and 2022 events and will review progress and challenges related to SDG 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions), with a focus on conflict and shrinking trust in public institutions. The event will also explore the role of SDG 16 in responding to the climate and food system crises.

The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy are co-organizing the Conference. The Conference will contribute to the 2023 session of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) and the 2023 SDG Summit.
