The Samoa Partnership Dialogue will take place on 29 October 2018 in Apia, Samoa, as part of the inter-regional preparatory meeting for the small island developing States (SIDS) Accelerated Modalities of Action (SAMOA) Pathway mid-term review undertaken by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), with support from the Government of Italy, and under the overall guidance of the Steering Committee on SIDS Partnerships.
The organization of the Samoa Partnership Dialogue marks the culmination of a broad consultative process through three regional SIDS partnership dialogues, held in the margins of the 2018 preparatory meetings of the SAMOA Pathway mid-term review in Mauritius for the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and South China Sea (AIMS), in Tonga for the Pacific, and in Belize for the Caribbean SIDS.
Participants of the Samoa Partnership Dialogue will be able to provide feedback on the outcome of this process, the ‘SIDS Partnership Toolbox,’ which will be presented at the event in a draft form.
