Channeling the spirit of the 2018 Talanoa Dialogue under the UNFCCC, the R20 Austrian World Summit 2018 will share ideas, skills and experiences through storytelling, applied practical knowledge and cutting-edge technology to inspire pioneers working towards a sustainable future. The Summit will discuss, inter alia, innovative financial mechanisms to accelerate climate protection and green projects at subnational level, and collaboration among cities and regions on climate action and tackling environmental pollution.

Organized by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s R20 Regions of Climate Action office in Austria, the R20 Austrian World Summit is an annual top-level gathering seeking to create a network platform that will help regions, states and cities implement the SDGs and meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
