Environmental Sustainability E-discussion: Human Rights, Peace and Security

The UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) launched a second round of e-discussions on areas where further dialogue and thinking is needed, as identified during the Leadership Meeting of the Global Consultation on Environmental Sustainability in the Post-2015 Development Agenda, held in San José, Costa Rica, on 18-19 March 2013. This first e-discussion will focus on “Unpacking key inter-linkages and principles” and address inter-linkages between environmental sustainability and poverty reduction, equality, and human rights, peace and security. It will precede two other e-discussions on “Moving towards transformational change” and “Translating global commons and universal agenda to local action and context”.
