18 July 2016 New York City, US
Partnership Exchange

Organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the UN Office for Partnerships (UNOP), this event will serve as a forum to enhance the global partnership for sustainable development. On the theme 'Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals through Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Ensuring that No One is Left Behind,' the 2016 Partnership Exchange will provide a space for dialogue among multi-stakeholder partnerships and government officials, policy makers, UN entities and Major Groups and other Stakeholders (MGOS), for showcasing the work of multi-stakeholder partnerships in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Partnership Exchange will take place during the 2016 session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), and it will be open to all participants of the Forum. All stakeholders involved in multi-stakeholder partnerships are encouraged to submit a short progress report of their initiative through the Partnerships for SDGs online platform. The reports will be used by the UN Secretariat to inform stakeholders, partners and the HLPF, of how partnership initiatives are advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the SDGs. Results of submissions will also be used by the UN Secretariat to conduct a mapping of multi-stakeholder partnerships that will be presented at the Partnership Exchange.
