28-30 April 2014 Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana
Pan-African Conference on Inequalities in the Context of Structural Transformation

This high-level, multi-stakeholder conference is a follow-up to the UN-led Global Thematic Consultation on Addressing Inequalities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda. It aims to discuss the linkages between conversations on Africa's development, the post-2015 development agenda and an African agenda on inequalities. It further aims to build a common understanding of economic, social and political inequalities and how to address them through a structural transformation agenda. The conference is expected to result in a statement on ‘The Africa We Want' as a contribution to global discussions on ‘The World We Want'. The conference will include an opening by the President of Ghana, high-level panels, presentations, plenaries and parallel group discussions. A two-day meeting with civil society participants after the conference will map out a strategic action plan.
