“Our Common Agenda” Thematic Consultation 1: Accelerating and Scaling Up the SDGs, Leaving No-One Behind

The First Thematic Consultation on the UN Secretary-General’s report on “Our Common Agenda” will be held on the theme “Accelerating and Scaling Up the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Leaving No-One Behind.” The goal of this consultation is to receive feedback from Member States on the proposals in “Our Common Agenda” that aim to accelerate the SDGs, leaving no-one behind.

This consultation is the first in a series of five open, inclusive, informal thematic consultations convened by the President of the General Assembly on the UN Secretary-General’s report on “Our Common Agenda.” This first consultation will consider the proposals developed to accelerate the SDGs, in light of lagging progress, compounded by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which threaten to leave populations that were already vulnerable even further behind. The consultation will consider the proposals that aim to, inter alia, advance inclusion, protection and participation for all, as well as those specifically relating to women, girls and youth.
