The online Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum (GMGSF) will take place prior to the first session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA 5.1), which it taking place from 22-23 February. 

The event is organized by the Major Groups and Stakeholders (MGS) accredited to UNEP, under the lead of the Major Groups Facilitating Committee (MGFC). 

The consultations of Major Groups and Stakeholders will address the following themes: 

• UNEP Mid-Term Strategy
• UNEP Program of Work
• UNEP @ 50
• Stockholm + 50
• Main messages from MGS to UNEA

The consultations are self-organized by the Major Groups. Participation in the GMGSF is open to all Major Groups interested in UNEP, the environment and sustainable development (accredited and non-accredited). Member States are invited to participate as observers.
