This event will be hosted by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability Africa Secretariat. LoCS4Africa 2017 will focus on water for cities and is scheduled to coincide with World Water Day (22 March). The Congress will connect Africa’s urban development challenges related to water and climate resilience with solutions and new opportunities for access to finance and technology, inclusivity through design and building more resilient urban communities. The Congress aims to provide an opportunity to connect Africa’s urban leaders with each other, as well as connect these leaders with development and investment agencies, the private sector and technical experts.
