LDC Ministerial Conference 2015

The sixth meeting of the UN Industrial Development Organization's (UNIDO) Least Developed Countries' (LDC) Ministerial Conference will discuss graduation out of the LDC category and ways to sustain structural change and achievements within the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The conference will include six sessions: a ministerial debate on progress made by LDCs towards graduation; Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9 and the path to graduation; mainstreaming inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) into national policies and programmes; partnerships and integration tools to foster private sector development in LDCs; means of implementation; and sustainability and the way forward. The conference will also include: a study tour showcasing industrial and business practices in Austria; and the project launch of ‘Inclusive development and entrepreneurship for all' (IDEA). The conference will convene immediately before the 16th session of the UNIDO General Conference.
