Co-hosted by the Governments of Brazil and France, with the support of the UN Inter agency Task Team on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs, this high-level event will mark the launching of the Technology Facilitation Mechanism (TFM). The event will take place on the sidelines of the UN Sustainable Development Summit and will bring together multi-stakeholders including representatives from Member States, the UN system, civil society, the private sector and academia. It will provide an opportunity for high-level representatives to express their expectations on the TFM and on how countries or organizations are prepared to support its operation, and for the UN system to showcase its readiness and commitment to support the TFM.
