Latin American and Caribbean Carbon Forum 2017

Organized by the UNFCCC Secretariat, UN Environment, UNDP, World Bank, IDB, OLADE, CAF and other partners, the tenth Latin American and Caribbean Carbon Forum (LACCF) will bring together representatives from the private and public sectors to discuss the state of climate change mitigation in the region and engage with cooperation agencies, potential investors and service providers. Under the theme, 'Advancing the Paris Agreement: From Targets to Action,' participants will discuss, among other issues: implementing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs); leveraging public and private finance for climate action; carbon pricing mechanisms and carbon markets; sustainable development and transformational change; public‐private partnerships; and innovative business models to fight climate change.
