This knowledge-sharing workshop is jointly organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Climate Group, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, and the regional office of the UK Department for International Development in India (DFID-India). The event is aimed at renewable and clean energy associations from South Asia. The objectives of the workshop are to brainstorm on the potential for establishing a South Asia Alliance to: promote enterprise development, knowledge sharing on financial instruments and techno-economic cooperation for renewable energy; and initiate North-South and South-South collaborative efforts for effective deployment of renewable energy.
