The UN Economic Commission on Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will host a meeting on the theme “Sharing knowledge to improve MDG monitoring and reporting”. The meeting is expected to be attended by delegates from all five UN regional commissions, experts from specialized international agencies and representatives from some national statistics offices from each continent. The purpose of the meeting is to share successful experiences of monitoring the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), in order to promote horizontal cooperation among countries.
