The International Day of Peace is observed each year on 21 September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.

The theme for the 2018 Day is 'The Right to Peace – The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70,' celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
