International Conference on Climate Change, Water Resources and Disasters in Mountainous Regions: Building Resilience to Changing Climate

This Conference will provide scientists, engineers, planners and development workers with a platform to present their research outcomes, observations, findings and innovative ideas. Conference themes include: climate variability and changes; water resources management; transboundary issues of water resources; cryospheric changes and its impacts on water resources; land degradation, hazards and disaster risk reduction (DRR); river basin modeling for impact assessment; watershed management and ecosystem services; renewable energy and food security; climate services for building resilience; and adaptation strategies for building a resilient society. The conference is jointly organized by the Society of Hydrologists and Meteorologists Nepal (SOHAM-Nepal), the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) of the Government of Nepal, and the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) International Hydrological Programme Nepal (IHP) National Committee.
