The President of the 74th UN General Assembly is to be selected from the Group of African States.

The UNGA will hold informal interactive dialogues with the candidates in May 2019. The election is expected to take place in early June 2019. The 74th session opens on 17 September.

The dialogue with the candidate from Nigeria will take place on 13 May.
