Innovative Actions Towards a Pollution-free Planet: Implementing the UNEA-3 Resolution on Soil Pollution

This event seeks to contribute to a pollution-free future by addressing: soil pollution; the risks it poses to human health and well-being, food safety and security, and the environment as a whole; and ways to prevent and reduce it. It will bring together governments, the private sector and civil society to share ideas on innovative, impactful and replicable solutions in the agricultural and industrial sectors, learn about the successful “tipping points” that have made the difference and discuss how to scale up these actions.

The meeting is organized by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), International Fertilizer Association (IFA) and CropLife International, and will convene as a side event during the fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-4).

The SDG Knowledge Hub story on integrated actions to tackle soil pollution in line with UNEA resolution 3/6 on managing soil pollution to achieve sustainable development is here.
