The President of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) is convening this informal meeting on the status of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) implementation and on outcomes and conclusions of the President's strategy. The informal dialogue will take stock of broader SDG implementation efforts undertaken during the year, and provide Member States with the opportunity to exchange views and reflect on results achieved. More specifically, the meeting will address: progress made in implementing the SDG strategy for the 71st session of the UNGA; overall progress and achievements by the UN Development System, World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and others on the SDGs; and how collaborative platforms can more effectively implement and accelerate the delivery of the SDGs through global, regional and country initiatives.
