Co-facilitators Gillian Bird, Permanent Representative of Australia, and Gustavo Meza-Cuadra, Permanent Representative of Peru, will hold informal consultations on the zero draft of the Ministerial Declaration for the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) and High-level Segment of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The co-facilitators issued the zero draft on 20 June 2016, and have indicated that civil society representatives will be given the opportunity to share comments during this consultation session, following UN Member States. Consultations on the Ministerial Declaration began on 16 June 2016, following the issuance by the co-facilitators of a list of potential elements to be included in the Declaration, on 13 June. The HLPF 2016 will take place from 11 to 20 July 2016.
